Our vegetable oil is obtained from the cold pressing of the seeds of the Opuntia Ficus indica. This botanical species belongs to the Cactaceae family and is native to arid and semi-arid regions, being the origin of the Terpenic Prickly Pear Oil from Tunisia.
It is one of the most outstanding vegetable oils in cosmetics and difficult to obtain given the size and concentration of oil in the seeds. Its properties are derived from the components it contains both from the saponifiable part (with more than 75% of omega 9 and 6 in its composition) and from the unsaponifiable part, highlighting the phytosterols and fat-soluble antioxidant vitamins.
