Native to North Africa, this aromatic plant lives on sunny, mountainous hills. Its dark green leaves with a spicy flavor are oval and pointed, and its flowers appear grouped in compact, fragrant, purple-pink inflorescences.
The properties of oregano essential oil are very specific. Its main field of action is infections of all types :
Respiratory infections: angina, bronchitis, sinusitis, rhinitis
Digestive infections: gastroenteritis.
Urinary and vaginal infections: candidiasis.

There are aromatic oil capsules that contain compact oregano essential oil.
Precautions:
- Harmful if swallowed. It can be fatal if ingested and enters the respiratory tract.
- Toxic in contact with the skin. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Keep out of the reach of children. Do not apply undiluted on the skin.
- If ingested: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting.
- In case of contact with eyes: Rinse carefully with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy. Continue clarifying.
- In case of contact with skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Immediately call a poison control center or doctor.
- Keep away from all sources of heat and light.
